Still well made. Reminds me of the same logs I played with as a kid 40+ years ago.
It seems that lincoln logs does not offer that anymore.just like the marketing techniques of most toys today. I realized from the beginning that I was paying for a large heavy box but I was dissapointed in the lack of variety of pieces. I had searched for a collection of lincoln logs that could be used just with the child's imagination and was not so specific for a particular project.

Everything fits into the all wood case, and there is NO plastic. I knew I wanted all wood, and did not want it in a plastic bag or cardboard tube.This set is beautiful. His parents were delighted, and he loves building with it.Finally.something to play with that does not fall apart or end up all over the house. I was looking for something for a (5) year old to do that did not involve a computer, TV, video game console or hand held game. Not a lot out there that was going to keep him entertained that was not Hot Wheels.Then I saw this.
